Focus Group Discussion (FGD) is an initial assessment in implementing KM. FGD conducted on BoD and the Senior Management Team, by conducting interviews to determine priorities and inputs associated with the implementation of KM in the company. So as to know what is already there and is still needed by the company in order to effectively run the KM program, in luding aspects that become obstacles (barriers) and trigger (enablers).
Questions in the interview related to the 7 main points: the challenges and opportunities in the industry and the external environment, business strategy, organizational structure, human resource management systems, measurement systems, culture, IT system. End result is a recommendation to at least seven of these aspects to support the implementation of KM.
FGD aims to obtain an overall picture related to strategy, structure and the end result desired KM initiatives and developed in the future (desired state), primarily associated with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and Sales Force (SF). With reference to the FGD results, it can be determined that the appropriate strategies and programs.
The scope of the assessment stages are as follows
In the FGD, the session is divided into two groups namely the Board of Directors (BoD) and the Senior Management Team (SMT). Before serving in the report, the draft results of FGD will be sent to the relevant parties to get confirmation. FGD results in the form of conclusions that describe expectations of KM Implementation.

Analysis and Recommendations. We analyzed the survey results and focus group discussions. And as a final result, we make a recommendation in the form of initiatives needed to make KM run better.
